The Plantation Garden holds events throughout the summer and is only five minutes’ walk away, on Earlham Road.

Sunday & Wednesday Volunteer Sessions  

Come along to the community garden and help to keep it looking great for everyone. Join in with gardening tasks or help out in anyway you can. No gardening experience is necessary. It’s a friendly group and our gardener Jo will be on hand to advise and help. 

Every Wednesday 1pm-3pm Starting from 6th March 2024.
Sundays (fortnightly) 1pm-3pm Starting from 10th March 2024.

Open gardening sessions Sundays (fortnightly) 2pm-4pm
21st April, 5 th May, 2 nd June, 16 th June, 14 July.

Family Garden Club (Sundays fortnightly) 1pm – 2pm.

Accompanied children welcome.
21st April, 5th May, 2nd June, 16th June, 14th July.

Please book in advance by email (contact@grapeshillcommunitygarden.org) stating numbers and ages of children and names of adults accompanying.

Nature in the Garden Sunday 19th May 11am – 3pm.

Discover more about nature on your doorstep, with stalls, refreshments, music and
fun for all the family.

Includes:

  • Bio-sonification – What happens when you plug a synthesizer into a plant ?
  • Hallswood Animal Sanctuary
  • Mend with Friends workshop bring your mending or have a go at some nature inspired embroidery.
  • Master Composters- find out about composting and wildlife friendly gardening

  • Substrata Wines- Organic wines to taste and buy
  • Tom Conway The Coffee Pedlar.

Celebration of International Cultures Sunday 30th June 11am – 3pm.

Come along for global food, info. stalls, children’s activities, music and more!

Arts in the Garden Sunday 21st July 11am – 3pm.

Art to view and buy, music to listen to and refreshments in the garden.

Let us know if you’d like to play music, have a stall or run a workshop.
